Today we discuss about a topic how to we create database using DBCA tool?
right click => open terminal => type " DBCA" now we can see the screen below
Choose General purpose and press" Next "
Give the global name of the database => "Next"
(note: We can give any name has we required but it’s no more than 8 characters long,
and starts with an alphabetic character)
Choose tick /untick the "Configure Enterprise Manager" check box By default it is in untick only press "Next"
Use the Same Administrative Password for All Account (unless you’d rather not) Press "Next"
To specify the file location where the database files would created
(Note: if you don't want to mention specific file location to choose "use database file locations from template"
otherwise we choose the second option mention the database file location like below)
Choose tick box for "Fast recovery area" .
It's preferably used for backup (Note We can allocate space manually as like pic mentioned )
Enable the archive log mode if we need other wise untick the check box "NoArchivelog Mode" Press " Next "
If you need some sample schemas tick the check box otherwise leave the check box Press "Next"
Use a Typical configuration => Tick 'Use Automatic Memory Management'
=> Change the ‘Memory Size’ value accordingly (or leave default as 40% of total machine memory)
=> Review any additional parameters by clicking 'All Initialization Parameters'
Here storage we can see controlfiles ,datafiles ,redologfiles location
Check box tick "Create The Database" =>Finish => See " summary details" => Press "Ok"
(Note: in these Password Management we can see the sys and system accounts being opened,
remaining accounts are locked status )
